The CX21 is equipped with the same UIS2 optical system used in top-level Olympus' microscope. In addition, Plan Achromat objectives are included as standard for the first time in this class of microscope, providing sharp images with high contrast to the edge of the field of view.

Wire-driven stage movement avoids any protrusion of racks - to prevent the possibility of accidental damage or injury to the hand. Rackless abrasion-resistant design ensures smooth continuous motion.

The eyepieces, objectives and condenser all factory attached to the microscope body ensuring that no component is dropped or detached during transportation or regular use.
Ultra-soft nosepiece, revolving quadruple
High precision machining ensures smooth operation and durability. Nosepiece includes an ergonomic rubber ring for easy grip.
Mechanical stage focus-lock prevents accidental
Focus position can be locked making it easy to refocus when changing specimens. With the locked position of the stage, there is no objective truth accidentally touching the slide and damaging either en SPECIM or end in itself.
Compact design, easy to store and carry
CX21 is only 391 mm high, compact enough to be stored in a regular classroom closet. A cord-rest and wooden storage box is also available as an option, for convenient storage and portability.
